This is the classic 1999-2000 parody of the Venture Capital industry. Written by venture capitalist Robert von Goeben and his artist wife Kathryn Siegler, “The VC” ran monthly in Upside Magazine, a then well-known publication of technology and finance. Originally conceived as an inside joke amongst venture capitalists, “The VC” is required reading in Silicon Valley, and its popularity has since spread across the country. The San Jose Mercury News, the bible of high technology news, lauded the comic strip calling it “a laugh a minute.”
